My software wont install onto my computer - Lexmark X2500 All-In-One Printer

Are you an administrator on the computer? if you are not you will not be able to download software onto the computer.

Are you sure you didn't download the software file and you might have it saved somewhere on your computer? You might need to find the file, open it and run the setup in order to install the software.

I am assuming you are using one of the newer version of windows, although you don't mention this. There is a free version of paperport you can download over the internet so you might like to try this. With windows you can install 32 bit versions of software onto 64 bit system and they will generally work fine. You should also try using "compatibility" mode which windows uses to help manage programs designed for older version of windows. I have some older software that wont work on anything other than windows XP so I have installed a virtual machine onto my 64 bit computer, then installed windows xp onto the virtual machine, and then installed the software I need to use. This is a bit tedious and time consuming but works perfectly and allows me to use my older software.

What is the operating system you are installing this onto? Try running Windows Update and applying any updates it can find.

Need to know a bit more. Is this an older printer? It may not be compatible with your computer/OS. Try checking with your Operating System to see if it is compatible with the printer. Go to Windows Help to find out more about printer conflicts and compatibilities.

5. Use a software installation CD which is included with older iPods. Insert the CD into the disc drive and installation will begin.

The omnia runs on windows mobile, so it sync through activesync, but I suppose you already know that.
To install software/applications onto the omnia, you have to install via the pc, IF the file is a supported .exe or .msi installation file to install the program components onto you PC.

If you have software in the form of a .cab file, it must be run from the omnia. So you have to go to My Computer>Mobile Device> and then put it in your phone, then from your phone, run the .cab file.

Basically, if it doesn't work on vista, put it on the phone and try running it through the phone. Also, if you dont know, you go to start>programs>file explorer (on the phone) to find the file and run it.
