A refrigerator must get rid of condensate and "frost". There is a collection pan under the back of the unit where there is also a fan that helps removes the excess moisture back to the atmosphere.

Ice maker in side by side Kenmore refrigerator model number 106.55529400 has stopped working. The ejector fingers are not stopping in correct position, from what I have read online this means ice maker...

There are many things that can go wrong with a Kenmore refrigerator ice maker. Your ice maker may be leaking. It may not make any ice at all, or the ice that comes out smells or has an odd appearance. The problem may have an easy solution, or it may require a technician's expertise. The troubleshooting tips in this article will minimally make you aware of what is likely the source of the problem. You may be able to fix the problem yourself and save a bundle.

When it Won't Make Ice
1. Get a thermometer and see how cold it is in there. If your freezer is fewer than 17 degrees F, it won't make ice. The freezer temperature setting may be too high or the thermometer is broken and not calibrated correctly. If adjusting the temperature fails to work, call a Kenmore technician.

.2 Determine if your water fill spout in the freezer is plugged with ice. If so, no new ice can be made. Try clearing it out or melting the ice by running a hair dryer on it for a few minutes.

3. Turn your refrigerator around to look at the back side to see if water is getting to the water inlet valve behind the fridge. If the water is not properly connected, there's no water to make ice.

4. Use an ohm meter to test for coil continuity. If the ohm meter shows there is no continuity, then you will need to replace the water inlet valve.

Hope i can help you with your problem.

Have a nice day : )

Water collects on bottom of side by side freezer forming ice. Water leaks from door.

The water leak is more then likly to be a condensation problem not helped by a bad seal around the door. This would need an enginneer really.

Ice maker and water stopped working, hear a clicking sound. We tried cutting power and starting again, it stopped making the noise, but we still got no ice or water, and after a couple hours started making...

the sound from the icemaker is coming form the water solenoid valve, which needs to be replaced. if your frezer is cold then the fan is fine, most are switched to turn off when you open the door so you arent likely to see it running unless you set up a camcorder in your fridge :-)

Water leaks out of freezer once or twice per day

is there water frozen on the frezer floor.if yes your defrost drain is froze over.it only happens a few times a day because happening when its going into defrost, the water melts on the frezer evaporater then should go in the drain.if blocked it then runs on floor.you could turn of your refer for 8 hours or so.or get to the bottom of frezer behind back frezer panel[remove]and use a hair dryer to thaw drain use a weed eater line with a knott on an end to push thru and pull out the other side.the knott would clean any stuff in the drain line.ps watch out for water and electricty.i hope this helps God bless, tom
