Hello there:
If you have already tried the dell web they should be able to help but if yours is like mine i had no help from their site so they told me about vinal ac97 and they claimed that this is compatable with all of their computers so i tried it and it worked just fine.
So I would recommend trying what the other experts have told you but if all goes south and it is not working please try vinal ac97 and simply download and once it is downloaded it will bring you to a install file that has the setup wizzard that will help set up the mixers and the all of the other features like the equlizer and bass and treble ect ect ok so try this.

For that you have to install audio driver .
