Ice maker stuck in crush mode.... Frigidair modle

Mine was too. under the tray there's a long rod with a spring attatched. that rotates. behind the tray the rod ends in a small opening with a lever in side that moves up & down. that lever failed on mine. now under the tray in the front there's a round thing that moves with the rod underneath that runs into that hole in the back. I just jury rigged mine with a spring to keep that plastic roundish thing in front & under, rotated all the way counter clockwise or all the way up & to the right. NOW AND THEN ICE WILL CRUSH BUT i NOW JUST MOVE THAT THING OVER AND I'M GOLDEN. Hope this helps signed ... "I'm just a carpenter."
