I removed the ice plug in the line feeding the ice maker, but nothing has changed. I have removed and the motor module to confirm the ice level arm is activating correctly. Ice maker was working fine two days ago. I have a new motor module, but am hestitant to install it since I do not see anything wrong with the original one. The ice level arm does seem to be kindo of hanging down loosely. Any ideas?
From my experience, a frozen water line coming into the icemaker indicates a bad water valve/solenoid.
The solenoid is usually located at the bottom of the rear of the unit.
The icemaker arm could be a culprit if it was detached somehow, and was really in the stop mode. But, that would not cause the ice build up in the water tube.
