Downloading and running the following tool, triggers a reset of your BlackBerry smartphone.
Upon reset, your BlackBerry smartphone may require several minutes to restart.
BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 4.7 to 5.0 must be installed on the PC before running this tool.
Complete the following steps:-
1) Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
2) Click on the following link http:ww.blackberry.com/hotfix/2009fall/calfix.exe to download and run the tool. A new window opens.
3) If your BlackBerry smartphone is password protected, you will be prompted for the password to authorize the installation.
4)When the update is completed, the window should close and the BlackBerry smartphone should reset.
5) After the BlackBerry smartphone resets, USB Mass Storage functionality should be restored.
