Problem for RCA General Electric 28310EE1 Skype IP Wireless Phone

GE 28310EE base station has no IP address

GE 28310 base station has no IP address. Using AT&T model 2wire wireless router. I can see the PC's on the network but the base station for the GE phone is not on the network. Tried all solutions on all other forums (reboot base station, reboot everything, leave base station disconnected for a few days, change network cable). I just can not get the base to get an IP address.
