I think its a software problem
do you have nero installed, if not download it from www.phazeddl.com
see if you can burn to the drive..
id you cant then it means your registery is messed up you can download tune up uilities and run the registry cleaner, www.phazeddl.com as well
if that fails you will need to format your computer :)
os some dribes have problems reading certin brands of blank dvd's, try anoter type of media before trying any of the above .,,
