My compaq presario c500 wont turn on

remove the battery and switch on the notebook on main power.and see.

need to know what exactly its doing do you here a beep the screen come on any lights?? is there a light on the power cord or a place for one unplug the power cord take the battery out and unplug the power cord from the wall and the block in the center of the adapter then reconnect it all put the battery back in restart see what happens if that doesnt work take the power and batter off again hold the power button down while its unpluged and battery out for 2-3 secs and then flip it over and remove the memory access panel reseat the memory chips and reconnect everything restart if your getting a light on the power cord but still nothing on the laptop is the power connector loose in the back if it wiggles at all you probly have broken the dc jack and it will need to be replaced by a professional usually costing about 120 dollars or so let me know if those didnt fix it
