Question about Toshiba SD-V392 DVD Player/VCR
The DVD player starts, but then shuts down. It sounds like someone is reving a small engine ... it keeps trying to go ... and finally the error signal shows and it doesn't do anything. The red light ... that I am not to look into ... with the cover off ... I can see it blinking underneath the DVD and it won't settle it continues to move. Don't know if that is normal.
It moves cause its trying to read the disk.
the two main causes of this is that
1.) the disc isnt spinning fast enough 5000rpm is required for it to work
2.) the lens is damaged
in eighter case you'll need to replace parts..
you can take it into a technician if you like of you can try to fix it our self
if it aint spinning fast enough you have to change the motor
if the motor is fine then its the lens, try cleaning it and if that dont work replace it.
I'd recommend you get a new player cause the parts required is a bit hard to find, and it cost with the technicians labour almost as much as a new one
MY SIGGESTION is its disposable
