Question about Heating & Cooling
I HAVE A INTERTHERM FURNACE AND IT WANTS TO STAY ON ALL THE TIME. WE HAVE CHANGED THE THEMO. BUT THAT DID NOT HELP ANY. TO TURN IT ON WE HAVE TO TURN IT ON AT THE BREAKER AND CUT IT OFF AT THE BREAKER. IF WE DID NOT DO THIS IT WOULD RUN 24/7 PLEASE HELP...........
It would help if I knew what type of system you have, lets start with the thermostat. If you disconnect the wires to it, does the heat turn off? I have seen thermostat wires pinched inside the wall, thus bypassing the thermostat controls altogether and it would run constantly. If you send a reply, tell the type. Wall furnace, central unit, heat & cool, gas, electric or heat pump. If you dont know tell me how many wires you have at the thermostat and the colors. You should know this, as you have changed it.
