My computer crashed and it won't boot up. i don't

If the computer has a built-in recovery program then you can use that to bring the laptop back to factory settings. You can usually activate it by pressing "alt" then "f10" when computer first turns on but it may be different for your pc. Otherwise you can use a Windows installation disc to re-install another copy of Windows. This might erase all your files on the system by doing this. Or you can try and order a replacement disc from Toshiba. If you are going to use a Windows disc to re-install Windows then you will need to make sure the first boot device in the BIOS is the cd-rom drive so the computer will see the disc and boot the installation files. And if you get your computer up and working again be sure to create a recovery disc and keep it in a safe place.

you can order a cd or posibly download it from toshiba...... you have license for windows software either xp or vista and you can use the product number you own with a barrowed cd or burnt cd thats not illegal and you can goto toshiba download all the drivers off their website but your going to need a cd of some kind to reinstall it unless the recovery partition is still in good shape on the harddrive when you first turn the laptop on it should tell you something like for recovery options press F2 or ESC or something F10 its diffrent on each model if you have an owners book it will tell you exactly which key alows you to inter the recovery partition

You can press F8 during the POST to get the SAFE MODE option and try and go into safe mode and see if you can do a system restore while in safe mode.
