Question about Kenwood DNX7100 Car Video Player
I completed a new install into my 2003 Yukon. After updating the firmware from 1.0.4 (update only worked when attempts were made right after a reset to do update) to 1.0.9, old 60BG iPOD works fine +Video, but the iTouch only audio (not sure if that by design) the BT100 is semi-working with my Samsung SCH-A990 but no Address book functions, and on two occasions now I had to reset the unit to get it to recognize my phone was near the unit and auto select. Rear CAM CCD2000 option (Backup camera), only works if I select through the video select button while in reverse, (park and backup signals are correct and recognized) but not auto switching when placed in reverse. NAV, also no NAV option on main screen (yes I have a GMX30 install too) the XM player (NO SOUND) The NAV directions and turn by turn works fine, but key-press (NO SOUND) options are enabled, and XM volume control do not sound off on change. An feed back is greatly appreciated, Kenwood hasn’t responded to my calls nor my on-line support request.
Yeah a lot of people are having problem with that system..
here is what you have to do
UN PLUG YOUR POSITIVE BATTERY POLE FOR AT LEAST ONE HOUR
this will cause your system to rest,
Upgrade your firmware to the latest one possible , chek your manufactures web site for the firmware and details on how to do this
ensure your settings(peferecnces are correct)
and thats it you should be fine
