Take the laptop to your nearest computer hardware shop and ask them to have a look first. If it is your motherboard which is done, they can also give you a quote on the price and if you choose to repair it, they will give you an estimate time as to when it will be done.
it can be repaired but most of the time the cost out weighs the value of fixing it laptops are not made to repaired easily and you can probly buy a new one cheaper than you could replace it and pay someone to do the work unless you do it yourself and buy a broken laptop from somewhere like ebay or craigslist thats compatable to yours with say a bad lcd screen or harddrive something like that but the motherboard is good thats the only way i would recomend repairing it
Contact the manufacturer, and ask for the location of the Service Depot nearest to you, where a qualified and certified technician will make the necessary repairs.
Note that some HP notebook computers have been "recalled"
(between November 2007 and the present) due to overheating of the video-card, causing wide-spread problems.
Check HP's web-site, to see if your computer is one of the affected models; if so, HP will repair it for free.

My HP vs17x monitor seems to be stuck on hibernate mode. The blue light on the power button is on, and is flashing. The scren is blank. I have tried pressing the button several times. PS- It has nothing to do with the computer itself as i have just changed the monitor to one i used several years ago and it is working fine. Please help me, thanks.
