i have an hp dv2500 and when i push the power button it lights the lights up for about 2 seconds then goes off again i have tryed using just the power adapter with no battery and then just the battery, i have checked the hd, memory and i getthe same result every time. I also did a system recoveryto factory settings and still I have the same problem. What do I need and can you get me the part number.

Hi Manny, I'm a little confused by your description. You say your computer only runs for about 2 seconds. How could you do a System Restore on a system that doesn't run? Also, you checked the hard drive? What did you do to check it? How did you check the memory? A little more info would be useful in solving your problem. Thanx

VGA card problem..changed it 3 times...but still laptop goes off....they finally said need new motherboard??? so VGA will not do this again!!!!
