Question about Gateway GT4022 PC Desktop
Gateway Computers ****... period. Dont buy them. people always bring me gateways and say "The screen wont come on". IF it dont have any video then usually what has happened is that the Power supply started going bad, causing Motherboard failure. This is a result of shotty craftmanship. But if you have already been suckered into buying one. Id suggest you GET A NEW POWER SUPPLY BEFORE IT BURNS YOUR BOARD. A $30 power supply is better than having to buy a powersupply & a motherboard. Driver Support for Gateways also sucks. However I have archived ethernet & video chipset drivers I have also built XP drivers if you want to downgrade & ditch Vista (since Vista Sucks) E-mail me at Josh26Indy@yahoo.com for drivers

Google motherboards. XD
Looks like your motherboard is actually pretty good. What do you need to replace it for?
Here's a good website: http://www.tigerdirect.com/
Click motherboards or motherboards with cpu included.
Another website, http://reviews.cnet.com/4566-3049_7-0.html?tag=dir gives you a list of motherboards and where to buy them.
Usually, motherboards under $100 are old or cheap.
If you need an exact copy of the one in your GT4022
this is your motherboard on gateway.com: http://support.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/FIC/4006105R/4006105Rnv.shtml
just google that motherboard and you should be able to find an exact copy to buy.

Well, I think gateway is just a computer manufacturer, so if you are still under warranty, you could possibly get a replacement. But before doing anything, and if you are comfortable with doing so, open up the side of the casing, and take a look around, see if any cables seem unconnected.

I have the same issue. I actually went to a local computer repair store, and he has 6 or 7 of these in his repair room. And he acknowledged it was a big problem in these models. bad power supply and motherboard
