Problem for Motorola V360 Cellular Phone

V360 freezes when typing a text

My motorolla v360 freezes when I try to type a text. I then have to remove the battery to turn the phone off (it won't turn off by holding the power button). Texting is the only thing that freezes the V360. I can call and dial no problem. I can move the cursor left and right in the texting window, but once I attempt to type a word, its frozen.
Please help.
