Re: idiots

Since the device is very popular and has many users, it's likely you'll see more people with problems. I don't think iPods have more problems than other electronic devices or mp3 players in particular.

I stole an ipod touch how do i unlock it?

In order to unlock a stolen iPod touch, you will need your (or a similarly stolen) cell phone. Take it out, turn it on and press 9-1-1. Tell the person at the other end what you told us here. They will send people to you who will solve all your problems. Oh, and have a nice day. :)

Ipod nano security code

Try this:

  1. Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod Nano. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a free USB port on your Mac or PC computer. Open the iTunes program by using the Dock on a Mac or the Start menu on a PC.
  2. Select your iPod Nano from the "Devices" list in the main iTunes window. Click on the "Sync" button to make a connection between your computer and your iPod Nano.
  3. Click on the "Eject" symbol once the syncing process is complete. Remove your iPod Nano from the USB cable. The iPod's lock code will now be reset and you will be able to access all features again.
  4. Navigate to the "Screen Lock" option in the iPod menu to lock your iPod's screen again. Since your iPod's lock code was just reset, you will be prompted to select a new four-digit code.

Free software to DOWNLOAD my 80gig classic ipod to my new computer

went to and got free trial of MUSIC RESCUE from the forum after spending most of the day reading threads (wanted to be sure the "trial offer" didn't sting me half-way through a 20 gig download.)
The ephpod's software is the easiest to find, but one of the threads said his new 80gig classic ipod (same as mine!) crashed.
Somewhere there's an ipod compatibility chart, make sure your ipod matches.
There's several different software packages available, with "limited features" but music rescuer offered full features except for annoying pop-ups. Every 50 tunes it said to make this annoyance stop simply donate 10 pounds (british.) i clicked the mouse alot more than 40x finding this!
Anyway, download the help screen also (read it twice!), and it's basically idiot proof.
There's also a book, How to do everything with yout ipod and itunes by Guy Hart-Davis published by McGraw-Hill/Osbourne, that's basically an IPOD for DUMMIES
