I can't get my laptop(windows vista home premium) to print to my officejet 7210 printer. My setup is as follows: printer input is from my desktop(usb cable) compaq computer(windows xp) which is connected to the internet via a d-link wireless router connected to a motorola dsl modem. The wireless router provides access to the internet for the laptop. The desktop prints ok, but not the laptop. I have been told that I can print from laptop through the desktop to the printer but that the router needs to be setup for it. Can you help?
You need to share the printer on desktop. Find printer in control panel, printers. Right click, then choose sharing. Follow instructions to share printer.
On laptop, under networking, printer should now show up.
