Hi! You have most likely, A blockage. Open up your zipper, take the paper bag out. Inspect the opening where you bag attaches. Do you see debris? If you do, try pulling it out. Now, you might want to do this next step outside, or in the doorway, or garage. With the nozzle facing away from you, turn on the machine, you still have the bag out, and the zipper undone, this will tell you if the clog is further down. Air should burst out of the opening. Be careful, because debris could also burst out. If this is the case, then you shoul;d be able to replace your bag, and zip it up and get to vacuuming. If not, then you need to unhook the bag from th front bottom of the cleaner and uhnhook the wand. It either turns counter-clockwise, or has a rubber covered release button. Here you should be able to see further blockage. Somtimes you can reach the blockage from the bottom of the cleaner where the opening is in the nozzle. Do all of this with the cleaner unplugged for safety. With these steps, you should be able to free the clog and get back to vacuuming. Oreck is nice because without all the bells and whistles it is a pretty easy machine to keep maintainanced. Remember to have your vacuum checked out at least once a year by a qualified vacuum doctor. Hope this helps. Thanks, Rene (The Vacuum Doctor)
