I set up a linksys router so I could go on the internet with my laptop and pc but my laptop is the only one getting internet.
Did you make sure to plug the PC back into port 1-4 on your new router?

The following article will describe how to setup Comcast High Speed Internet with a Linksys Router: Connecting your cable modem to the Router 1. First connect directly to your Cable modem without the router and verify that you can get on line. 2. Once you've verified that you can get onto the internet without the router please proceed. If you can not please contact your ISP for further assistance. 3. Now unplug the Ethernet cable that connects to your DSL modem from the back of your computer. 4. Take the connection that you just unplugged from the back of your computer and connect it to the WAN port of the router. 5. Take a different Ethernet cable and plug it into port closest to the WAN port, or into the LAN port. 6. Look on the front of the router. The following lights should be illuminated: - Power - WAN Link - Link/Act (On the port that you connected your computer to) - Note If other lights other than Link/Act are illuminated on this port, that is normal - You may have a few other lights illuminated depending on the model number router you have, but the 3 above must be illuminated for proper connection. 7. Hold the Reset button on the router for 30 seconds or more 8. One thing that isn't mentioned anywhere is the modem has to be in bridge mode. I was told this by a Linksys tech after doing all that was documented in the references article. I contacted my internet provider and they told me how to set the modem to bridge mode. This corrected the PPPoE error.

Who set-up your Linsys router? If you don't know the encryption passphrass try going into the routers menu via any browser by typing the routers IP address at the URL address box. Typically, it will be 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1. Default Username leave blank. Default password is admin

if this is DSL connection then you have to configure your modem before you connect router
first disabled wireless on your modem/router
.1) Turn off DHCP on your modem/router I am assuming this is verizon westell
2. Configure the first VC port to Bridge-Bridge mode
3. Keep hitting "apply" in the windows until the 7500 reboots
4. Plug the "Internet" port on the linksys to one of the normal ethernet ports on the modem /router
5. Turn on the Netgear and wait for the green Internet light to go solid
good luck if this does not work provide more info on your setup
