Can I use a Vivitar Auto Thyristor 2800 flash (not sure when manufactured) on a YN 300 35 mm film, and Mamiya 645 AFDII without frying them?

Yes. that flash was made to the film specifications and should work fine on the mamiya. Make sure the synch is 60th on the camera and you should have little problem. I don't know what a YN 300 is or who made it so I cannot speak to it.
