Question about Magellan RoadMate 3000T GPS Receiver
When I went to turn on my GPS, the low power dialogue came on. So I plugged in the charger and noticed no red light or green light dtection for charging. I touched the charger cord evr so slighly and nothing. I disconnected the power cord and picked up the unit and heard a little rattle inside, like something was loose inside. I've only used this GPS possibly thirty to maybe forty occasions. I need it for some upcoming trips next month and wondered can I get it fixed somewhere, possibly an electronics repair place.
I managed to solder my connector back in place. The ground trace broke away from the board so I had to install a jumper to ground. I put RTV on the connector to secure it after the repair.
Worked great for a few weeks until it was dropped again and lost power, something else has a broken connection.
