Question about Sony STR-DA3ES Receiver
I have a Sony STR-DA3ES receiver that has been working great. Then one day, I noticed that the volume control would no longer increase or decrease the volume by the remote. Then, without doing anything, it would come back and I could control the volume by remote. Now, suddenly, it appears to no longer respond at all.
I have determined that it is not the remote since the remote works with other Sony receivers I have. I have also changed batteries. I have also unplugged the receiver for 30 seconds, I have also removed the batteries from the remote and double clicked on each control button (as suggested).
Still no response.
I would be ever so greatful, given that I am semi-disabled and cannot easily get around, for any solutions to this problem. I cannot afford an expensive repair and would in no way be able to afford a new receiver - all I have coming in is SSDI.
Thank you for your consideration,
Flip the top cover, just above the "AV MENU" there is a round boll kind of switch, it has to be pressed when you want to function top cover button, so may be it is warn out or the nob has been broken. if you press that switch with pen nob it will function...
It is bad design...
