Nikon Coolpix L11 Digital Camera

Coolpix L11 Cable and Moniter trouble.

I recently got Coolpix L11 digital camera for Christmas. When I tried to download pictures from my camera to the computer, the USB didn't fit. I am positive it was the correct USB port. About 5 minutes later, the moniter turned black. I turned it on and off, it did turn on, but the moniter is still black. Have I broken my camera? What can I do?

If you are speaking of the display on your camera, I would check the battery. It may need re-charging. Not sure what to tell you about the USB cable. You can find your USB ports on your computer either on the back or sometimes the front of the computer.
