My DVD/VCR combo is locked & I think it happened when someone was playing with it or something. I don't know the password or how to unlock it, can you help me please?

my dvd player rca DRC279 say regional error from a dvd collection i bought from Australia...i spent slot of money on tshose too... also if i convert it so i can watch the dvds will i be able to watch my other dvds that i bought in the usa?
