I am signed into yahoo mail. However, it states that my status for chat is "OFFLINE" When i do the drop down menu to available, it goes directly back to OFFLINE. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. THANKS

Hi,
There are two types of Yahoo Messengers for chatting. The one you are most likely talking about is the one "embedded" within your yahoo mail. There is another one that opens an entirely new window on its own dedicated solely for chatting. Certain features available on one may be unavailable on the other . You can try this one out.
