Install all printer software to your computer. You may have to restart your computer once this is completed. In my computer if you are using Windows, should appear an icon for your scanner. Press the icon and follow the instructions on the screen.
To scan an item to your computer with your printer: put what you want to scan in scanner, go to my computer, click the scanner icon, and press the last option (the one at the bottom). If you found this helpful, post a solution or something and say this was helpful, thx.
New Computer is it?
Vista- yes?
Big troubles with drivers for scanners from vista.
Scanners have a built in processor that runs all its operations on command from the computer.
Vista is not speaking the same language the scanner wants to hear.
Got onto HP tech support- I don't hold out much hope for you re this.
