There is very little you can do about this. You may not like that answer, and I am sorry for the trouble, but there are things you can try.

First, lets understand that wireless is a radio signal, much like a cordless phone. The handset has to be able to communicate with the base on a phone, and, the wifi pc's have to be able to communicate with the router. Some phones and routers (sadly) use the same frequency range, 2.4 ghz. If you have a cordless phone that operates on 2.4 ghz, or if your neighbors have one, then whenever they get a phone call, wifi goes bye bye. What can you do?

1. Upgrade your phone to a wifi friendly one, with a 2.4 ghz offset range (so that the bands are close, but not so close to cause interference) or get another frequency phone.

2. Change the frequency of the router to level 1. Usually they are AUTO or level 6. Level 1 is a low frequency, and lower frequencies usually give slower, but more reliable performance. You can choose between 1 and 11. try all frequencies to see which one gives less trouble.

3. place the router in a more centered location in the home, off the floor. Remember, this is radio. Radio antennas go into the air to receive signal, and your router is no different. A router stuck in the corner of the basement may give poor performance, while a router in the center of the home should service the home easily.

4. upgrade your wifi. Choose the wireless N router and adapters for your machines. they have better capabilities and less interference.

I hope this gives you insight into the issue. Wireless is at the mercy of its environment. Building structures, signal interference, power lines, atmospheric issues, and cordless phones can play a factor in your reception. its just like taking a portable tv thru the house and having to move the antenna around to try to get better signal. Good Luck.
