Hello hbennett,
When looking at cable TV some of the channels are encoded (arranged digitally) to disallow access to the content on that channel.  This is true in the case of encrypted channels, the cable company has taken that channel and through an encrypting algorithm made that channels content inaccessible to you. The only legal way to see that channel is to pay the cable company or content provider for that service (channel). I hope this helps.
Thank you, Shuttle83

I am trying to get on the wii internet like i always could but it loads for 30 sec. to 1 minute. the it says error code: 51332

Try changing the channel of your wireless router to either channel 1 or channel 11 which can increase download speeds.

If your router is using WEP encryption

  • Ensure your key is hexadecimal, consisting of 0-9 or A-F only, no other special characters or letters.
  • 64 bit encryption requires your WEP key to be 10 characters consisting of numbers or leters A through F.
  • 128 bit encryption requires your WEP key to be 26 characters consisting of numbers or leters A through F.
If your router is using WPA encryption, the Wii is compatible with :
  • WPA - PSK(TKIP)
  • WPA - PSK(AES)
  • WPA2 - PSK(AES)
If your router is using MAC filtering, ensure the Wii MAC address has been added to the list of approved MAC address on your wireless router settings.

Got a box usb 2. half of the channels have gone off can someone tell me how to get the channels back on please

Nope, and if they have not gone yet, the rest of the encrypted channels will also go

Virgin has now switched to nagravision 3 encryption.
All eurovox/starview boxes can now only receive SOME free to air programs.
If you rescan, all the programs are picked up, but all the encrypted channels are blocked.
There is no fix yet, and there will probably be NO fix for your box, or any box without an ethernet connection.

Does your provider offer premium services, like HBO or STARZ? If so, there's encrypted channels on your cable network. You are not suppose to be able to tune those channels, that's why they encrypt them. These channels travel on the same wire to everyone's home in your neighborhood. If you have the equipment (cablebox) and a paid subscription, you will be able to view these channels

I recently put an arial on the roof and I pucked up a few channels and they are encrypted and asks for a password is there how do I get the password? Also is it legal?

Encrypted channels are not free, that's the idea. You buy access to the channel and they give you a password. you have to ask the broadcaster in your area for access.

Can't find Scanning channel for Surfers Paradise. Can you help

As far as I know all QPS digital channels are encrypted including them. So it's possible to decrypt it, but once they change the encryption, it changes and you have to rescan and re-crack.
