Restoring an ipod

tried restoring my ipod classic 160 gb then it got an error message saying that itunes detected an ipod restore and that i have to restore the ipod so that i can use it.
but i just did! i've just tried restoring my ipod...
now i can't use my ipod, the apple symbol is on the screen all the time except sometimes it shows ''use itunes to restore'' on the screen
i don't know what to do
please help!!

Make sure you got the latest itunes version and latest ipod classic version.  Also you need to be on the original computer you used to sync with the ipod.  Open up itunes and connect the ipod.  Your ipod should show up on the computer.  Just click on the restore itunes back to factory default button and you should be g to g.
