I'm running Corel Photo-Paint 12 on my Toshiba laptop, AMD Turion-X2, 64-bit machine running Vista Home Premium. I didn't have this problem until recently, and it's only with Photo-Paint, not CorelDraw: The program opens, and before too long, it locks up. Or just the toolbar is grayed out. Or it says "Not Responding". Sometimes I could press the Alt key and suddenly it would work again, but not the tool bar. Suggestions?

- I was the one who first posted the problem. I decided to upgrade to CorelDraw Graphics Suite X4. I first totally uninstalled Corel 12, then installed X4. Everything works fine now. You don't have to go over to Photoshop if you don't want to. Corel products can open, modify and save as PSD files and other Adobe formats.

-   i am running corel12. Color Picker and Paint Tool been disabled suddenly. I have reinstalled corel again. but still problem persist. Please help how to enabled both these tools.

I had some troubles with some software on Vista Ultimate  one of the problems was Corel Photo Paint   i went back to Adobe Photo Shop  it installed well and works well
