I have entered the wrong pin for my phone and now its blocked i need a puk code for it to work again

The PUK & PIN codes are Security Codes that are on the SIM card. PIN( Personal Identification Number ) PUK ( Pin Unlock Key). when the PIN code in entred wrong the SIM automatically Blocks the PIN. to unlock the PIN you need to Enter the PUK. but if you enter the PUK wrong the Entire SIM is Locked.

The PIN Code & the PUK codes are Only Known by your Network Provider. you have to get in touch with them to get the codes. how ever if you have PUK blocked you will have to get a replacement SIM

PUK code in PIN UNLOCKING CODE, which is required when you give PIN number wrongly for 3 times,
This code is OPERATOR specific and not phone specific and you have to call you operator and get PUK if PIN is blocked...

if you provide PUK code wrongly for 7 time, you sim may become useless, then you have to buy new SIM

NOTE: You should ask your service provider,get the PUK, Else it can be found in the booklet given when you purchased the SIM card

if its troubling u abt pin code and if u dont remember it, then u've a very simple procedure.
Read this section & u'll surely be able to enter a new pin code.

Enter Pin code of ur wish, u just need to block the sim so that ur phone asks u PUK code.
i guess pin code tries are abt 5-7 times.
So it will say Sim card Blocked Enter PUK code.
Now call to customer care from other number of same newtork provider & ask then ur PUK code.
they will ask u a 16 digit code, which is printed on ur sim card. after u provide 16 digit code to customer code, they will provide u ur PUK code,
Enter the PUK code given & now enter ur New pin code.
This is quite lenghty process but 110% working.

Entering 3 wrong pin code blocks your pin code and to reset your pin code you have to enter a superior code thats called PUK code !
Ask your service provider hotline !

You may enter wrong PIN three (3) times only. After that your PIN will be blocked! To unblock, you need PUK. You can only enter wrong PUK ten (10) times. (This is as documented) After entering correct PUK, you will be asked for NEW PIN.

So, when it says "PIN blocked. Enter PUK code", you must enter the PUK. If you correctly enter the PUK, it will asked for new PIN, by asking "Enter new PIN code:". Enter anything you want as your PIN. You will be asked to enter it twice (two times).
From what I read from your post, you have done correctly, but you don't want to enter new PIN. There is no way SIM card/phone will use old PIN. The device doesn't know your PIN. So, you have to enter new PIN.

A PUK code is a code entered to unlock the PIN block when you enter the wrong PIN 3 times.

You call up your service provider and they will give you the PUK. Don't try and guess the PUK as if you mess up a few times the SIM will be permanently blocked. Usually paperwork with the SIM will have a list of a couple of PUKs.

if you enter the wrong pin code for 3 times your sim will get blocked ...
it will ask for the puk code ...
then you must call to the customer care of your network provider and you must tell them that your pin got blocked you want the puk code ...
they may ask for the details of your sim card be sure to tell it ..

then they will provide the puk code note it down and enter into it ..
your sim will get unlocked...

if you enter the wrong puk code for more than 3 or 10 times the sim will get fully blocked if then you must contact to network provider shoppe....

i think you blocked the pin code by entering the wrong pin code for 3 times so it is asking for the puk code ..

to get puk code you must follow these steps :

1. call to your network provider customer care

2. tell them that your pin code got blocked you want puk code

3. if they ask any details about the sim card owner you answer that one ...

4. then make a note of the puk code and enter in to your cell
