Acer Aspire 5610 LCD backlight problem

Hi!
I have Acer Aspire 5610. Problem is connected with LCD display's backlight - it doesn't function. From this forum I got to know that 99,9% is damaged LCD invertor. I found it in ebay, replaced damaged, but there was another surprise. Monitor backlight was in dark dull red, slightly blinked, and after about 2 minutes it turned off again. And more - when backlight was on, there was some strange, silent crackling sound, coming from inverter. Where else can I check to solve this problem?

- Already repaired! Problem was in dead CCFL bulb. I've replaced it, now laptop is usable again.Solution #1

If it is less than 1 year old, go to http://www.acerwarranty.co.uk for UK or http://support.acer.com/ for US.
I did this last year for my girlfriends laptop backlight problem and it was a free courier both ways and was repaired within 2 weeks (new part required). No cost to you.
Otherwise, sorry I dont know how to fix it.
