Toshiba pops up and then windows xp pops up and then screen turn blue computer goes off

This sounds like a conflict with something that's loading into memory when you switch on and load the Operating System.

Boot into safe mode. (F8 every half second while booting) Allow to load mode.

Go to start.

Type in search MSconfig

Go to 'Start up' tab.

Deselect anything you know you don't need from the list.

Hopefully, you'll hit the right one and the problem program won't load.

Media drive not found my laptop is toshiba sat a45 s150. after turning it off unsuccessfully, a blue screen error was displayed. if long pressed the power button to shut it down. after opening it again,...

Most likely the boot sector is corrupt.Try to boot by starting the Computer and hitting F8, or F12 you need to get to your start windows splash screen. Then try Start Windows from Last Known Good Configuration. If that don't work try Safe Mode.If none work you will need to recreate your .boot file, or try recovery fron CD.It gets complicated explaining how to rebuild your boot sector,If you have access to internet search "how to rebuild boot sector Windows XP".There are programs you can download and then load/run to rebuild boot. This has happened to me or someone I know and it is a pain to fix.You need some knowledge of how boot loads and how to repair.Try to get someone you know to help you.The problem was caused by the shut down.I think you ment XP can't Boot.Good Luck

Not booting up

Unfortunately you Windows OS crashed. Try pressing the F8 once you boot up. It should lead you to an option screen where you will be choosing SAFE MODE only. If you can boot up to windows under safemode you can do system restore or uninstall the program you just installed.

If you can't go into safe mode. Use the recovery disc. Pop disc 1 then upon booting the computer, press F12 to load boot menu then choose the dvd/cd drive. Once it finished loading, choose advanced option instead of Toshiba recovery wizard and it will lead you to system restore.

If both of the steps failed, unfortunately, you need to do full system recovery. Just do step 2 and choose Toshiba recovery Wizard, Out of the box state. This will delete all your data.

hope this helps.

SYSTEM SETUP OR BOOT MENU FOR TOSHIBA A40

Restart the computer,

Right after the Toshiba logo appears start tapping the F8 key.

You will get an option to start in Safe Mode.

Select this option and let the computer start in Safe Mode.

If given the option you will want to log in as Administrator.

After you are logged in you will want to go to the Control Panel and then click on the Users link.

Select your account and choose to remove the password.

Reboot the computer and you should be able to access your account.
