Generic problem for all Monitors
HP FLAT SCREEN TV BLINKING POWER LIGHT/BLACK SCREEN

Hi,
Hoping someone can help me with this:
In the midst of a storm, TV images blinked on/off, then all the way off. The power button/light continued to blink. I disconnected then reconnected both the power cord and the satellite cable, to no avail. After several hours and replugging power cord, still no image and only blinking power button/light.
Please help - open and appreciate suggestions! Thanx!

I also have the same problem with my 19inch. Is it salvageable or should I be looking for a new monitor?

I have the same problem on my 42 inch LG LCD TV. (No picture, no sound, blinking green LED 19X when powered up) The repair guy just left and he said (sorry I didn't pay close attention) it was something like the power switch (not sure he said "switch) that was not getting to the "lamps" to light up the TV. He ordered the part to be replaced in "7-10 days". I will return and report with better and more detailed information on what the problem actually is.
