i connect my sansa e250 into my computer and the mp3 player says connected but i see no sansa hardrive and the computer doesnt respond .

Turn Sansa off. Unplug USB and make sure its clean. Plug back in as normal. If no hardrive comes up go to My Computer and look for it and troubleshoot if necessary.
Finally, repeat this action above accept when you turn MP3 off, hold button for 15 seconds - release and then turn back on.
