Question about Whirlpool RBS305PDS Electric Single Oven

1 Answer

Whirlpool Range GY396LXPB00

My keypad stopped working. We have had it replaced before, so we ordered another one, put it in and it still does not work. What could it be? It is not the lock button. We flipped the breaker and left it off for a few min. Any suggestions?

My clock does display. It says PF then a time. It says PF because we flipped the breaker. Thanks for that information. Do you know what it could be since the clock does display?

Pushing the button doesn't fix it. We replaced the control panel. I checked all of the wires. There is a ribbon wire that attaches to it. Could it be that the front panel needs replacing?

Shanco, is your clock working at all, does it display. If not, you have a thermal cut out on the back of that oven. This runs through the neutral side of that clock. If that TCO is open, the clock and display will not function. Part number 4451442. Very inexpensive. You can look it up at repairclinic.com for a price. They will have a picture of it. Now I'm going by model number gy396lxb00. You have to remove the back panelto get at it. According to the schematic Im looking at it looks to have 2 red wires going to it. Catriver

Aw man you messed me up with that rating. Anyway, if the display shows PF, press pause/cancel. Does the keypad work after that? You are not getting any error codes and this is a pretty basic oven control. After pressing pause cancel, hold it in for 5 seconds to see if you get any other error codes. My suggestion would be to go back and check all your connections on the new board. I see by the diagram that the keypad comes as a complete panel kit. #8191145 for white. When you installed the board, did you have to plug in a ribbon for the keypad or is it just an inlay? Let the cat know...Catriver.

That's the only thing that's left. You already changed the main board. The keypad is not responsive. Do you have the owners manual? Just make sure there is no child lock-out for the keypad. That would be the only other thing. Thanks for changing the rating. The part number I listed for the panel is white. The last two digits will change: 46-bisq, 47-black, 48 stainless steel. So if your panel was stainless..part number would be 8191148. Catriver.

I have an accubake system electric oven and stove. When I tried to set the temperature on the oven the degree number kept rising to 500 degree on its own. Now it is displaying E0 F2 on the screen. Whats...

F2-E0 - Shorted Touch Pad (Keypad) - Check the connection between the touch pad (keypad) and control board (clock) to make sure it is secure.
Select the 'cancel' function and wait 60 seconds.
If error code reappears then replace the touch pad, or touch pad and control board (clock) if all one assembly.

Error codes E1 F2 whirlpool super capacity 465 oven

HI. This code is a good indication of a separated key pad ribbon or the actual key pad may be damaged. Use the procedure below to isolate the culprit.

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

F2 means something is wrong with the keypad. Check that the keypad is firmly connected with the control board and press Cancel. If you get the code after a minute, replace the keypad.

You have a stuck or shorted keypad. Try Cancel/Off and hold for 10 seconds. Then push every key several times to unstick. If that does not work unplug range and remove the access panel, disconnect the wire connections, then replace them. If all these steps fail replace the control. good luck
