Problem for Apple Ipod Video (80GB) , Black Digital Media Player
Ipod won't turn on

I have an 80g ipod which i've had for 3 years. I went to turn it on this week and it sounds like it turns on but nothing comes on the screen. When i plug it into my computer it doesn't recognise it in my itunes and again nothing comes on the screen of the ipod. What do i need to do?

It may be that the battery has drained to such a low level that it is only barely charged. What I would do is leave it for a couple of hours charging using the apple usb cable supplied (if you have still got it) and also if you are using a usb hub plug it directly in the computer usb port.
