Question about Uniden Bearcat Pro PC68XL 40-Channels Base CB Radio

4 Answers

Bearcat BC-210 I have an old Bearcat BC-210 scanner which seems to work well on the higher Frequencies however at 26.965 to 27.405 range for ch1-40 it will not scan. It's old and the backup battery is probably bad and it only has the small screw in antenna. It does have a place to plug in another antenna. The MFG is actually Electra Co. I want to use it to listen to comments on local road conditions and police and emergency local broadcast. Thanks for the help Regards

The Bearcat 210 Manual specifically states that the lowest freq available is 32MHz.

Re: Bearcat BC-210

I have several radios older than the BC-210 and they are still repairable, as long as you are willing to do it yourself! The statement that it is "... too old to repair" is bull puckey. That LID doesn't know what he is talking about!

Go to the " website and search "BC-210". The following URL may get you there, unless the service manual has been moved.

Gud luck,

Re: Bearcat BC-210

Sorry, but the BC210 cannot be programmed for CB frequencies. On the other hand, if you try to program VHF & UHF frequencies within the normal range of the scanner & get "error" on the display, the unit is broken & too old to repair.

Re: Bearcat BC-210

Did the BC 210 have the cb freqs??? I don't recall them being able to scan those frequencies. If so, and I'm mistaken, you can always program in the exact frequency you need. I know when the scanner wouldn't scan on the 210, the eeprom was bad and there was no replacement. Good luck

Bc75xlt scannerfrequencies

Hi, Michael,
Your best bet is the ACMA website, depending on where you live, i.e: state/postcode, you need this info plus frequency range that you're interested in before looking up their register of communications licenses.

A cheap way of getting a basic knowledge of Australia wide frequencies is to go to ebay and bid for a copy of Scanner Fanatics frequency register, these are the same books that sold in DSE years ago. They are up-to-date as far as I know, but they are a good way to get started in scanning.

How do i start scanning for channels on my bc 855 xlt scanner

Firstly, you need to program your favourite frequencies into it, before you can receive anything, all the info on setting up your scanner is in the user manual that came with your scanner, if you bought it new, that is.

Scanner frequency for Villa rica, Ga. police

If you have access to a computer go to and click on scanner frequencies, when the map of GA comes up, click on your county, which I think would be carrol and they have all the county and city frequencies listed.
