My TV turns on fine and the picture is great except it blinks on and off. It started about a week ago and it seemed to only occur about once a minute for the first 10-15 minutes. Now it is happening more frequently. The picture goes out completely when it flashes off and then comes back completely. Is this something that can be fixed easily? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Bad Picture tube.
This may be a bad crt or picture tube. Take a good look at the picture when it's on and see if it has a pinkish or greenish tint. This is easiest to see if you turn the color adjustment all the way down. If it looks like the tint is green or pink and the focus isn't great then it's probably a bad crt. Not worth repairing if its the tube.

I have a 32" sony trinitron wega kv-32xbr250. When I turn the tv on the picture comes on for a minute or so then the picture goes black for a second. There is sound all the while. The problem seems to be getting worse. I have unhooked the cable and tried another tv and had no trouble. Could you suggest how I could correct this problem. There is no service in this area.

Same problem, when first turning it on it blinks on and off. Stops after 10-15 min. then occationally blinks.
My set is KV-32S40. Great picture except for the blinking. Help..
