Hi vrytrigg
If you still have the old RAM inserted, try removing it and see if the new one works on its own. If it does then your RAM are incompatible with each other as they may be running at different clock speeds although they will both be compatible with your system. should you manage to re-boot the PC, there are a few sites online that can scan your system to let you know what type of RAM you should buy.
Hope this helps!

I want to upgrade the video card in my hp pavillion a200n, but not sure which I can use, I know it is a PCI, but that is all.

old old a200n, 2003, 15 years old today. (relic junk zero value)
there is more to know.
1: first off why do you need to upgrade, (unstated)?
2: what OS are you running of 100s, windows XP as came new?>
3: is this this to run and play $60 games (the word games means zero lacking a title of one game, 100000 exit now)
4:PCI what? what level PCI. well lets read your manual. (OLD)

the A200n is long now RETIRED at HP, zero support.
Intel Celeron 2.4 GHz (a sick dog)
256mb to 1gb ram, max (very limiting this)

it has 3 PCI slots NOT ONE IS an express slots.
sadly the spec fails to say if the slots are 3v 5v or 64bit type.
or dual voltage nor cold i see any photos of your mobo this old.
so cant look and see what you have.
see the 6 classes of PCI back then, in orange (wiki data)

no AGP video slot, it's that old. ouch.
yes there are used PCI cards for video sold on ebay,
I bet not one will out run the one you have now.
it cant go faster that than the old PCI slot can muster,
that is why APG was invented then Express invented last.
go to GoodWill stores (tm) walk in and get PC that is 10 years.
newer ,spend say $20 and work on that.?
a far better plan than any A200 made.

i see newegg has no cards, but the wide and rare 64bit PCI.
a blast from the past, most now are in the land fill.

a200-4k5bfajt33qg2ngosijyhig4-4-0.jpg short answer, ebay, make sure you match it to the upper PCI slot.

Access cmos hp pavillion a200n

Exactly what are you trying to do? Are you talking about the Bios or System Setup? if so just reboot your computer and watch the screen for which key it says to hit to get into the Bios or System Setup. You have to hit the key when you see the message or it will not work and you will have to start again.

If you are talking about the CMOS battery that is on the motherboard: Remove the power cord, Remove the case, turn the computer on it's side and look inside for a shiny nickle size battery and use a small flat head screw driver to pop it out. The most common size is CR2032 and you can purchase it anywhere for $5 or so.
