My Book Home Edition won't turn off, won't be recognized by my Mac.
Problem for Western Digital My Book Home Edition 500 GB USB Hard Drive
My pc will no longer recognise my WD External
My pc will no longer recognise my WD External Drive. I noticed that my WD makes a odd sound when i plug it in, similar to the sound of a computer game and it no longer vibrates. Could someone please inform me as to whether it can be fixed and if not how to I recover the data as i have priceless pictures in there.

Sounds to me that the HD inside is going, if not gone yet.
Take it in to see if they can do a back-up. It will have to be taken out. That would be a way to see if your data is good for recovery.
