Forgot password to router

Are you trying to access the router set up ?

For the wireless router there are 2 passwords .
One is for the router set up interface. and the other is for the wireless network.
If you forgot the wireless password then you can find it from the router set up interface.
If you don't know the router password then you will need to reset the router and reconfigure the router.

There are two password which one are you looking for.
one is for to connect to the internet for the wireless network and the other one is for router administration page and the default password is password only and if this one is not working then you have to hard reset the router.
Procedure for hard resetting is:-
a)You will find the very small/tiny circular pin hole on the rear panel of the device very close to the power
b)Use the paper clip or a pin or a tooth pick to reset the device and keep holding the reset button for at least 30-35s.
c)Then , While holding the paper clip take the power cable out from the device , wait for 10-15s and then plug the power cable back to the device while holding the paper clip.
d)Wait for another 10-15s and then release the paper clip.
e)Once we have all the lights back on to the device then take the power chord out and plug it back within 30s.

After resetting the router to the default setting's the internet connection will be terminated and re-configuration has to be done from the beginning.
To re-configure perform the following steps:-
1)Open the IE page and in the address bar type the url:-http://www.routerlogin.com and then press enter key
2)A small window will prompt up which will ask you to type the user name and password which will be
user name:-admin
password:-password
and then left click on log-in.
3)Once you will left click on log-in it will navigate you to the router's administrator page which will be netgear smart wizard page which will be netgear smart wizard page from where you can configure the router's setting's.

did you changed the pw from default one?
if yes the you have to resset the router and reconfigure again.

press the reset botton at the back of thre router, find the small hole and press it 3 time then unplug and plug it back again.
