Question about Philips GoGear HDD1830 MP3 Player
My gogear is frozen with a message that says please connect player to pc but i dont have the installation disk to fix it help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everytime i download music, pics, or vids after a while it stops uploading stuff and i have to format the hard drive on it almost every other day. is there anyone that can help me with this. i got it last xmas and its been like this ever since. it uploads up to 100% than freezes and doesn't do anything. what the ****?!?!?! it's annoying and if no one can figure it out **** it i'll buy an ipod.

My guess is that you all have Vista, or an XP install with Windows Media Player 11.
Revert back to Windows Media Player 10 and fire up the Device Manager that came on the CD (You can also find it at phillips' website, in the product support section.) Click on the tab that says 'Repair' and hit the 'Repair' button. This should fix your problem.
Note that this will remove all of your files from the device.

Try the RESET button with a paperclip. Worked for me.....
