Question about Epson AcuLaser C1900 Printer

Epson AcuLaser C1900 paper jams and almost no ink


I've got an Epson AcuLaser C1900 printer, which has been working fine for quite some time. Then I moved and took the printer with me. During this period, it hasn't been operating for about two months and it was stored in a much colder environment.

Now I constantly get paper jams, ofthen when the page is already more than 80% out of the printer (when printing from the smaller tray). When printing from the big tray, the jams are much earlier in the paper flow.

When the page does get out, it is unreadable. you can see a faint colouring where something should have been printed, but it is impossible to make out what that should have been.

I've been hunting for stuff in the printer (which is unlikely, since it was working before) and I have no clue what the reason could be for those problems or even if they are related.

All help would be greatly appreciated!

If paper jam occurs frequently, wipe the pickup roller with a clean dampened cloth. Follow the steps below:

  1. Open Cover AB of the printer.
  2. Open the cover below the paper path roller.
  3. With a clean dampened cloth, wipe the pickup roller.
  4. Close Cover AB.
If the glass on the print head filter is dirty with toner, wipe it with a clean cloth. A vertical white line may appear in the printout. Follow the steps below:
  1. Open the front cover.
  2. Tilt the waste toner collector and pull it out.
  3. Grasp the handle of the print head filter with your fingers and gently pull it straight out of the slot. (**Note: Be careful not to spill toner that has accumulated on the print head filter. )
  4. With a clean cloth, wipe the glass surface of print head filter.
  5. Hold the print head filter by the handle and gently insert it all the way into the slot.
  6. Reinstall the waste toner collector.
  7. Close the front cover.
The print quality problem might be something as simple as turning off the Toner Save mode using the printer driver or the printer's control panel menus.
There may be a problem with the photoconductor unit. You may need to replace the photoconducter unit.
Or it might be something rather more serious (hopefully, not)Print out a status sheet. If a blank page is ejected, the problem may be with the printer. Turn off the printer and contact your dealer.

What does error code EO23 mean on an Epson Aculaser C1900

this error refers to a misalignment of the carousel, i have one that randomly does it at the moment, i also have a replace black toner even though the toner is full, i'll get back to ya when i find a fix, the service manual says it can either be the 2nd motor, clutch or sensor, but in my case all three are working fine.

EPSON AcuLaser C1900 paper jam when printing black or color

I have just gained a C1900 second-hand and have set it all up and got the drivers and so forth. Am having exactly this problem, right down to the folded pages, wide top margin and 'Check Paper Size' error message. Did you ever find a solution to this? Anyone else know how to fix it?

Paper is jammed inside the output path cover or fuser unit

K toner cart out, Epsom C1900 Aculaser color printer

i had the same problem as you i feel very upset with epson that they did not help you for me what i had to do is lay my printer on its side with the door to the toner facing you taking the toner out looking down into the bottom you will see a little plastic block wist it half way till it stops then reinsert the toner becarefull not to drop it in that shoud be fully fitted inside then put the unit back the right side up and start the printer up this shpuld fix your problem ok thanks

Epson Aculaser C1900

The Cleaner Pressure Flapper Solenoid it dead or dying. You can try moving it by hand to see if you can prolong it, but basically it needs a new one. Its a job for an engineer really.
