A few weeks ago my speakers completely stopped working. i had to disconnect everything from my computer to move, but i reconnected everything just the way it was, and now my speakers don't play any sound except for when i test them in my Realtek HD Audio Manager. When i do an auto test in the audio manager, every speaker works fine, and they all worked perfectly fine before i moved.
I have Windows Vista All of my drivers are up-to-date. All 5.1 speakers hooked up.
but i really don't see how any of this could be the problem because all i did was unplug the speakers and then plug them back in.

Did you check in control panel on the status of your audio settings?
Open audio devices in control panel. click on advance , then click on the drop down bar and select 5.1 . click apply, then OK then and close it .
post if that does not do it.
First unplug the speakers, and then go to the page of the manufacturer's,.
if you cannot find the disc with the drivers.,and download s new copy of the drivers..
Then install it and then shut down the computer and plug in the speakers.. that should do IT.

Right click the speaker icon by the clock and then click on playback devices. Next make sure that the default device is the one that your speakers are attached to. If not, click on the correct device and then click "Set Default".
