if you have a yahoo email. you just need to install the yahoo messenger on your computer then login with your email ID and password. you will be logged in to your yahoo messenger.

to talk to your friends add them if you dont have any contacts in your list.

then start talking to your friends.

your webcam is workng fine. You must install instant messaging system like yahoo messenger or skype inorder to talk or caht with your friends. you acn download these programs at their website.

I'm not sure if you are talking about needing your phone line or wanting to use yahoo to talk to friends, but this gives answers to both. If you want to use the phone and your have a dial up modem, set the download to run overnight.

when you click to download messenger, choose the "save" option. Make sure that you save it where you can find it again. Drop the arrow down and choose to save on your desktop for instance. There is no reason that you can't have yahoo open while you download.

When the download is all finished, close the version of yahoo that you are using and double click on the icon for the yahoo 10. It will open the installation wizard and install.

On the bottom left of the popup that opens when you select download, there should be a check box that says close when download finishes. Put a check in the box if you let it run all night.
