my adapter only works some of the time... i have to disconnect and reconnect several time before it works, and sometimes that doesnt help. sometimes it says local only sometimes it says connected to router... i dont know what's going on with this. my girlfriend uses this computer for her online schooling. and it is becoming a real hassel and pain in my head... please help... any suggestions?
I have a belkin usb adapter and all i can really say is that it will have problems if it gets to hot(most usb adapters do) Make sure to update the drivers, and if you can afford to, buy a n internal card, they work much better.

I am running Vista via cable extreme, boy have there been some issues for about 14 months, get to the problem at hand , on start up (boot) before the net connects, this appears, Load Sercomm Library Error or Version is too old. can't get rid of it, tired of uninstalling, is there a quick fix ? Yes, i am using the latest download from Netgear wg111v2-3-4-0. Double click smartwizard, same thing, once i click "ok", all works fine, till i reboot. Thanks in advance.
I have same problem receiving "load commser library" error message every time I boot up. Just purchased this adapter and installed on HP Pavilion N5425 running Windows XP Home edition with Service Pack 2 installed.
