Question about GE 25932 Cordless Phone

ONE phone - not dual - charged and hooked up properly - still says "Please Register" and wil not pick up dial tone - there is NOTHING in the owners manual about this dealing with the ONE phone.

    4 handset system, base station works but all satellites say "please register".
    Manuel and GE website are useless for this issue.

    I had no success in getting the second handset to work even after placing it in the main base station. It looks like this is going to be a hassle and I'll probably return it to the store. You would think GE would want to keep customers but the instructions offer no help.

I called Ge Support and they told me to follow these instructions to reset the phones (I have 2 handsets total):

1 unplug AC Adaptors on both phones (main base and second one.
2 disconnect the phone line from the phone jack.
3 removed both batteries.
4 wait 15 minutes
5 reconnect the batteries.
6 reconnect the phone line.
7 plug in the AC Adaptors on both phones.
8 set each phone on the main base (the one with the answering machine) for 30 seconds.

This should reset the phone and register. Pick up the phone and hit talk to see if you have a dial tone.

Hope this helps. I did that and took apart the second handset and wiped the dust or dirt off the inside under the number keys. Then I set it back on the main base and it worked.

I think this may be the answer. With multiple handsets reading "Please register" and a "working" base station (w ith dial tone). If you bring the remote units to the base station and place them on hte base, they will register and stay registered after you return them to the remote base. It doesn't say this anywhere in the instructions as it gives you the impression the remotes will register from their own base.

No dial tone it says no link to base,move closer,try again even when it is in the base

it needs to be registered with the base on phone go to menu scroll down til you see register, registration, register base, sect it, then it will tell you to set it on base, after that wait a few minutes til its done, pick up phone, you should now have a dial tone, also if you have your manual, look up how to registar base, it might be easier instructions there.

if you can get dial tone with another phone, look into manual for any instructions, usually a toll free number for help. ( BEST ) otherwise take phone back for exchange. may be problem in the board.

I am unable to get a dial tone on my new uniden cordless phone ?

Did you insert the batteries properly and register the handsets? You must give them a good charge and put both handsets into the main cradle before they will work at least ten seconds, that will register the handsets to that main cradle. Good Luck...

No dial tone on handset

It may not be registed with the main unit. You may need to register the handset. With my uniden all i have to do is put it in the main base until it says what handset it is (it should be a number).

Dial Tone - Number Dialed does not go through

The problem is possibly the keypad on the phone. Try another phone , preferrably a standard corded phone. If you still cannot break the dial tone, then the problem is with the telephone line (phone company)

Can't make or recive calls

here is link to the instructions

first, test the actual socket using a good normal phone.
if no dial tone, get phone company to test the line.
if line ok, fully charge handset for 10 hours, if still faulty, follow the procedure to de-register and re-register your handset with the base unit.

With the 6.0 gig set, the phones in the box are already registered. The manual tells us how to de-register and register. You might want to consult that part of the manual.
